Rally to Keep the Promise

Dear Marylanders,

Thank you for supporting and attending the Rally to Keep the Promise. We were expecting 10,000 and we shattered this goal. We estimate that a total of 15,000 people came to Annapolis to support educators and public workers.

"I've never seen anything like this," said Department of General Services Secretary Alvin Collins in the Washington Post. Your support made for a historic event last night!

We demonstrated the power of organizing and delivered a message to the General Assembly that was impossible to ignore—budget cuts would threaten the quality of our public school system and the quality of the public services that we depend on every day.
