Education support professionals are the strong foundation that every school building and central office relies upon for a smooth running day. MSEA knows that as skilled, conscientious, and motivated school employees, you and your colleagues are not only focused on your assigned duties, but on the general condition and atmosphere of your school or workplace and the attitude of students and fellow employees. While others are behind desks or in front of classrooms, you are speaking directly to students and parents or working throughout the building, monitoring visitors, students in the hallway, and much more.
MSEA is here to support you in every aspect of your job. This year, the focus of MSEA’s ESP Professional Development Day is workshops that will add to your skills, knowledge, and value on the job, whether it’s updating your email and social networking skills, recognizing and stopping peer-to-peer bullying, or fighting for a living wage.
“Education support professionals in every job category can find important ways to improve and protect their jobs at this year’s ESP Professional Development Day,” said MSEA President Clara Floyd. “If you have never attended an MSEA workshop, please make this important event your first—you will leave with information and insights you can use right away!”
