Jason Fahie is a middle school health and physical education teacher with the Howard County Public School System. He is currently completing his final year of his first term serving on the MSEA Board of Directors.
Before teaching in Howard County, Jason was an activist in the Teacher’s Association of Anne Arundel County (TAAAC). He served for five years on the TAAAC Board of Directors as well as on numerous committees during his tenure. Jason also served as a grass roots organizer for the association, participating in and encouraging members to become activists through phone banking, door knocking, and attending county council and budget hearings that impacted members on a yearly basis. One of his greatest accomplishments was being voted the 2016 NEA Political Activist of the Year!
Jason is originally from Virginia Beach, Virginia where he attended public schools during his childhood and teenage years. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree at Hampton University in 2004. Following completion of his degree, Jason taught three years with the Hampton City Schools system before moving to Maryland in 2007. He also holds a certificate of instructional technology integration from the University of Maryland University College.
Jason lives in Laurel with his wife, Kisha, and their daughter, Khloe.
