MSEA's trainings and workshops
The Maryland State Education Association is dedicated to your professional life. We want to give you the support you need to do your job well. Below you will find MSEA’s 2009-2010 Professional Development and Organizational Training Guide. Use it to locate workshops that address topics important to your work in Maryland’s public schools and to your participation in your association at the local, state, and national levels.
The first half of this guide introduces “on-demand” workshops that MSEA will bring to your local association to better serve your needs. Local leaders are encouraged to work with MSEA’s staff to create trainings on topics not listed or to customize existing workshops so that they target questions of specific concern in your county, school, or workplace. Some listings may denote regional training, an option that will allow locals to network with each other.
The second half of the book offers a list, by month, of our regularly scheduled training events and the staff person to contact for additional information. Some of the listed training events are conducted by NEA.
