Participants are required to attend the entire Friday evening and full-day Saturday training. There is no registration fee for members for this event. Meals will include dinner on Friday, continental breakfast and lunch on Saturday, and all training materials. Participants are responsible for their own transportation.

MSEA's Women's Leadership Training is specifically designed to help members—men and women—gain a better understanding of their leadership voice through identifying personal communication, decision-making, and strategic planning styles.
Women and Leadership: Challenges and Opportunities
Participants will consider the most recent research on women and leadership and its application in union and educational environments. Interactive training exercises and facilitated discussion will enable participants to:
- Examine the strengths and assets women bring to leadership, including their sense of relationship, collaboration, and inclusion.
- Describe current levels of women’s leadership in educational, union, and political spheres.
- Identify the barriers that often impede women’s advancement in leadership.
- Develop strategies for supporting and promoting women in leadership.

SATURDAY: Breakfast, AM snack, Lunch, and PM snack
Participants cancelling after 11/19/18 are responsible for hotel costs and/or meal expenses incurred by MSEA as a result of cancellation or no-show
