Jacob Bauer Zebley is a high school social studies teacher with Cecil County Public Schools. He currently serves on the executive board of the Cecil County Classroom Teachers Association in addition to serving on the MSEA and NEA Boards of Directors.
Jacob is a Maryland native. He was born in Baltimore, raised in Havre de Grace, and is a product of Harford County Public Schools. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Social Science Education from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore and his master’s degree in Curriculum & Instruction from McDaniel College. In 2015, Jacob was named the Cecil County Teacher of the Year.
Jacob currently serves as the MSEA Board Liaison to the Minority Affairs Committee. He also serves on the NEA Strategic Committee on Legislation. In September of 2016, Jacob was elected Chair of the NEA Board of Directors LGBTQ Caucus.
Jacob currently resides in Elkton with his husband, Sean, and their two cats, Ginger and Pepper.
